Adult Autism Assessments
Our Services
Dr Moriarty provides:
- Consultations to discuss potential relevance of an autism diagnosis for individuals with complex mental health and physical health care needs, where autism has been raised by other health professionals
- Formal autism assessment where relevant to the person's needs
- Autism diagnostic reports
Dr Moriarty does not provide ongoing clinical care or urgent care response.
Consultations are available in person and via telehealth, however first consultation will generally be offered as an in person appointment.
Referral Criteria
Clients must meet the following criteria in order to be reviewed at Reichenbach Consulting and for formal adult autism assessment to proceed:
- Be adult (age 18+)
- Be actively receiving care from psychiatrist, psychologist, or mental health nurse or occupational therapist
- Have a GP referral
- Have a handover letter from existing mental health support/s or existing mental health supports will have availability for liaison during the assessment process
- Have a developmental informant available i.e. a parent or individual with knowledge of the client in their childhood years will be available to provide information as part of the assessment process
